Redfish World Championship

How to Qualify for the 2026 Redfish World Championship

The Redfish World Championship will pull together 50 of the best redfish teams in the country to battle it out over three days to see who the best of the best is.

Each qualifying series will receive 15 invitations for teams based on their Team of the Year standings. In the event a series does not have a points system the invites will be based on the results of the series championship. 


 We hold our anglers to a high standard of professionalism and expect respectful conduct at all times both on and off the water, including in public settings and on social media. Conduct or public statements deemed detrimental to the integrity or reputation of the Redfish World Championship, the NRL, its staff, sponsors, or fellow anglers will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to rescind an invitation or remove any qualified participant whose behavior violates these standards.

Louisiana Redfish Classic


Each team may only qualify once, if a team qualifies in multiple series than the invitation will revert to the next team in line. 


In the event that an invited team cannot attend, the invitation will revert to the next eligible team. 


  1. Reversion Limit:
    The invitation will be offered to the next eligible team, but only up to 5 places down the ranking list.
  2. Top 25 Restriction:
    The invitation will not be extended to any team ranked lower than 25th in points, regardless of the reversion count.
  3. There will be a possibility of more than 50 invites being issued to teams based on all qualifying criteria. In this event the first 50 teams to pay their deposit will lock in their spot in that years Redfish World Championship.
  4. Multiple Qualification Paths:
    Teams that have qualified through multiple methods (e.g., regional qualifiers, championship winners, past winners and global rankings) will not be counted in this process. However, their qualification does not open up additional slots beyond the top 25 reversion rule.


Each Qualifying Series Championship winning team will automatically receive an invitation if they are not in the top 15 in points or fail to fall inside of the top 25 reversion limit.


If you have won the Redfish World Championship, Redfish World Series or Bass Master Elite Redfish Cup Championship in the last 3 years you will receive an invitation.


Tournament Director's Discretionary Invitations:

The Tournament Director reserves the right to extend special invitations to teams at their sole discretion. These invitations may be issued for promotional purposes, to recognize distinguished achievements in the sport, or to enhance the competitive field.

  • Special invitees must comply with all tournament rules and regulations.
  • The number of discretionary invitations shall be limited and determined by the Tournament Director.
  • These invitations are non-transferable and must be accepted by the designated recipient.



Registration will open on TBD each qualified team will be required to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit by TBD, to reserve their spot in this coveted field of anglers, with the remaining $2500 non-refundable balance due prior to registration closing on TBD.
